Official Announcements

Hi Blogland! Ema here with a few announcements.

First, most importantly, we have gone from a bi-weekly challenge to a weekly challenge format. We did this three weeks ago and I've been derelict in my duties as a Creative Team Coordinator because I've got LOTS of stuff going on in my personal life. Can you believe it? Who'd have heard of such a thing!?! lol

So with the weekly challenge format, we will begin announcing the winners to the challenges on Mondays when the new challenge is announced. I've gone to great lengths to make this as confusing as possible, so listen up carefully. ;)

We've three Teams with a Team Leader. Each Team will host a different week. The easy part is that they are Team A, Team B and Team C. haha Tomorrow's challenge is hosted by Team B. Team Leader will announce the winner for Challenge No. 59 - Distress because Team B hosted this particular weekly challenge. Next Monday, Team A will announce the winners to Challenge No. 60 - Romance and Love and so forth. Right now, the teams are not in alphabetical order and the reasoning for that is complex so kinda just watch what Team you play along with... or better yet... play along every week and then come back on Mondays to find out if you won! Haha! :) Easy peasy, right? lol

We have GREAT plans for 2015! We will be finishing up with 2014 with the challenge on December 15th. It will be the last challenge for this year. I feel my hard-working Team and I need a well-deserved break! We will be back on January 5th with a vengeance! lol So be sure to keep watch for exciting changes in the new year! The Team and I are on pins and needles awaiting the changes!

We've lost Team members and added Team members and I've not been able to keep up with making the appropriate announcements so I'm gonna lay them all down for you here as I announce the Teams.

First, we miss some Team members who had to leave for one reason or another and these are:
Lorraine Lowe
Diane Ahlers
Meggi Bischoff (temporarily)

We've added some Team members and these are:
Tanya Johnson
Lisa Jannaway
Laine Kammeraad

Now the fun part! I'm announcing the current Teams!

Team A:
Judy McKay  - Team Leader
Judy will be leaving the Team effective 2015. In 2015, Cathie Borowski will be Team Leader.

Team B:
Lynn Haines - Team Leader

Team C:
Tanya Johnson - Team Leader (I will be taking a less active visible role on the Team. Tanya has graciously offered to lead Team C.)
Cathie Borowski (temporarily)

We have two long-time Team members who post as she and I can:

We continue to have two Team members who post on Saturdays and these are:

If you'd like to put a face to the name, please visit our Creative Team page here.

All these changes came about because of the upheaval in my personal life. I've not been able to keep up with the blog as I once did and the Team Leaders have stepped up to help me out. I'll be taking a less visible behind the scenes role with the challenge blog. That is making sure winners receive their images, arranging Guest Designers to join the Team and assisting the sponsored challenges as I can.

I hope you've enjoyed reading about the team and what we're up to these days!
Thanks for stopping by!

Meet Tanya Johnson

Good morning, Fitztown! Please help Fitztown's Creative Team and me welcome Tanya Johnson as our newest member of the team.
Here's what she'd like you to know about her:
Hi, my name is Tanya Johnson and I am 37 years old. I am married to my childhood sweetheart and together we have a beautiful daughter named Abby who is 7 and who also loves doing crafts alongside me. I have been crafting for 16 years and have enjoyed seeing myself grow as a crafter over that time. You can usually find me crafting after my daughter goes to bed which then allows me to unwind after a busy day both at work and home. I love making cards but every once in a while I may create a scrapbook page or an altered item. I enjoy sharing my work with others in hopes of giving inspiration to others.  When I’m not creating something, you can most likely find my nose in a book, which is my other passion.

I hope you'll take the time to pay Tanya a visit at her personal blog as well.
Thank you for stopping by!

I began to create young and early in 2007, I met the world of scrapbooking and within me was born a loving passion.
I really enjoy making mini albums, LO, and card.
Much love retain the details of my life, to give way to create a page dedicated to the event that strengthens the memories and that remain in time.
I love challenges and new stimuli, I like to experiment with new materials and techniques, and then I find myself always looking for something new!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by to meet our newest team member. Please leave her some nice comments welcoming her to Fitztown.

Meet the New Creative Team Members

Please help the Fitztown Creative Team and me welcome our newest additions to the Team.

This is Barb Black.
Here is what Barb would like you to know about her:

Being a generally creative person, I have dabbled in various artistic endeavors over the years: floral design, music, sewing, quilting, writing, art. The sign in my studio reads: Any Craft Will Do. But, ever since I fell head over heels into the world of rubber stamping I mostly keeps busy making cards. A bit of a gypsy soul, I have wandered many places in my life and I take inspiration accumulated from those travels. I live in Snohomish, WA, nestled between the snow-capped peaks of the Cascade mountains and Puget Sound. I am also writing my first novel, I've Seen Rain.

This is Billie:
Here's what she'd like you to know about her:
My name is Billie Anderson and I am married to the love of my life. We have four grown married children who have given us grandchildren. We even have two great grand-kids. We live in the great Pacific Northwest in SW Washington State. I still work out side of the house for the State.

I have enjoyed crafting most of my life. I remember my mom and aunts teaching me to knit, crochet and sew. I then found paper crafting quite a few years ago and it has taken over my life. I love the challenge of challenges. I hope to inspire you with my creations and encourage you to play along with the Fitztown challenge blog team. You can visit my personal blog at Ink on My Fingers.

This is Lorraine:
This is what Lorraine would like you to know about her:

I have been crafting for about 10 years now ever since I  was retired early from work due to ill health, I started off with Decoupage but quickly progressed onto rubber stamping then found an extra love within the world of Digi Images. I have been blessed and honored to work with some of the most wonderful Design Teams and Challenge Blogs that are and have been around. I love to create projects using some of the beautiful images that are available and to enhance their beauty with some colour.  I love to visit fellow crafters blogs to see their work and have been inspired by so many of them.

This is Rachelle:

This is what Rachelle would like you to know about her:

My name is Rachelle Green. I'll be celebrating 5 years of marriage at the end of the month and that is what ultimately brought me here. Five years ago, I wanted to scrap my wedding photos. Let's just say, before it was finished, I was introduced to cardmaking and, well... that album is not quite finished. I like the instant gratification of cardmaking. I've always liked coloring and until I discovered cardmaking, there were always crayons and coloring books around. I am self-taught with alcohol markers and colored pencils and if I must say so myself "I've got skills!" I love working with digital images and am always on the lookout for a sentiment that will make the perfect marriage when combined. I'd like to incorporate more Cricut cuts but that hasn't happened as much as it should for the amount of cartridges I own. I love bling, flowers, dies and Kraft cardstock. When I'm not papercrafting, I enjoy reading, sewing (for myself and my various Barbies numbering about 100), playing violin, golfing, bowling and riding my Harley Davidson Fat Boy. I am also a five year breast cancer survivor! Please visit my blog, I'm Black Martha.
