I’m Barb and this is my first Fitztown Creative Team Member inspiration piece.
I’m truly honored to become part of this join this artistic group of women!

The Challenge says “Anything Goes”, so I went floral.
I have a friend who is going through a rough patch, so I want to send her a cheery card.

For this card, I used the Garden 9 image from Fitztown.
I colored it in with inks and a blender pen,
and then added some distress detailing.

For more on how I made this card,

August / September 2015 Guest Designers

Please help the Fitztown Creative Team and me welcome the August / September 2014 Guest Designers. They make a huge contribution to the functioning of the blog along with the Team and we are ever so excited to have them join us.

Here is a what Caz would like you to know about her:
My name is Caz. I live in Nottingham, England, with my very patient hubby Jim. I've been card making now since 2010 after trying all sorts even bobbin lace making, love x stitch also, but this has been neglected. I have 3 grown children, and 4 lovely grandchildren, ranging from 4 yrs up to 22 yrs. So lots of cards needed at times...lol...I also attend Phill Martins card classes and have picked up a lot of tips. Our spare bedroom has become my craft room, so me upstairs and Jim downstairs. He is good and keeps me supplied with tea during the day. lol
Here's a little tidbit about Jan in her own words:
Hi my name is Jan but in the world of crafting and to many others I am known as Scatty. I live in the South West of England with my Hubby and our 3 adopted cats. Most afternoons you can find me in my craft room - I mainly like to make cards and 3d paper projects - I am so happy to be a GD for Fitztown.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and meet our newest Guest Designers.

GD Julie -- Step Card

Hello, crafty friends.  Julie here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers.  This is my last time guest designing for Fitztown.  I want to thank Ema and the entire Creative Team for the wonderful experience!  I have thoroughly enjoyed my 3 months with the team!
The newest challenge is a step card. I love shaped cards of any kind. I had great fun with this one!
I love butterflies and this image was wonderful to color!  I have 2 Spectrum Noir markers.  I used both of them on this butterfly.  The butterfly is from "Garden 16", and is one of 6 butterflies that comes in the set.
I intentionally left this center step card very simple, because I wanted the butterfly to be the focus.  The sentiment is from Unity Stamp Company.
I used my Silhouette to make the step card, using a design I found here, in the Silhouette Online Store.  The papers are from Carta Bella.
Don't forget to come back again tomorrow for tons of wonderful inspiration, and the Fitztown Store is a wonderful place to explore!

SPUNK FAIRY - FAE 33

Hello once again bloggers with another great image from Fitztown.   Join us here at the Fitztown Challenge Blog for a challenge.
I began with a tag, Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Fired Brick and Barn Door. Crackle Paint (Rock Candy) for the crystal ice affect.  I also used an Idealology Arrow Adornment, Mini Gear, Metal Word Band.  A few pieces of screen throughout the tag and some twisted metal that I purchased and was waiting for a good time to use it.
Ranger's Glossy Accent was used on her top hat,
upper garment.

Ranger's Glossy Accent was used on her top hat,
upper garment.
I traced her wings on vellum paper and used my Copic Pen C0, C1 for a translucent affect.
Notice the shadow over her left shoulder and you can have an idea of how I used my awesome Bumble Bee percision scissors.  You can't really tell but her hair is spiked by the way I used my scissors for detailed snips.

That's it for now peeps... Don't forget to visit my blog,
"ESCAPING UNDERSTANDING".   Comments and followers are always welcomed!
Thank you for visiting the Fitztown's Challenge Blog.

GD Julie -- Altered Card Box

Hi everyone, Julie here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers. I'm honored to be guest designing again today.  This week's theme on the challenge blog is an "altered item". One of my favorite things to alter are card boxes -- it's something I can have on hand and give as a gift, filled with handmade cards:
The box is 6 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 inches deep.  It will hold about 8 handmade cards with envelopes, depending on how embellished they are.  I inked the edges of the box with Tim Holtz Distress Stain in Tarnished Silver, then, using Mod Podge, attached Close To My Heart paper from the Lucy paper pack.  I used the Fitztown image, Garden 7 as the focal point, coloring the flowers to match the papers.  I used Copic markers to color the flowers.  I used a Spellbinders Gold label die in 2 sizes.  The flowers started out white, but I inked them to match the papers and added matching brads (flowers and brads from CTMH).  The rhinestone flourish is also from Close To My Heart.
Here's a view where you can see the box a bit better:
This is a great challenge -- it takes us out of our comfort zones a bit and does what it's supposed to -- challenges us!  I had a wonderful time as a guest designer with my altered card box!

GD Jacqui - Pick a Holiday

Hi again everyone GD Jacqui back with another project for you

This challenge was to pick a holiday and as summer is coming (I hope) and i've just booked my summer holiday to Majorca I decided to go for a summer holiday theme.

I must say its lovely to be back working with the Fitztown images as I really love using flowers and fairies and they've also given me images that took me out of my comfort zone which is awesome as I think we do tend to stick to the familiar instead of challenging ourselves more.  Anyway onto the card.

For this project I used the Fitztown image Valentine 5
I used a 6x6 card base
Green & pink card from my stash
Promarkers to colour
Banner from a magazine
Some ceramic flowers from my stash
A leaf die
Half pearls
Creata gold rub ons
Two gold metal embellishments from my stash
And a sentiment to finish

I really hope you like and if you do plz pop by and let me know.
Till next time Jacqui over and out xx

GD Cathie - Anything Goes

Hi everyone,

Cathie here with a card for Fitztown's Anything Goes Challenge. I know you love anything goes as much as I do so here it is.
Fitztown Fae 18
This is a gate fold card using Fae 18. I love this image, it is so versatile - this is one of 4 designs I have made using this image.
In this instance using Microsoft Word I have cropped the image down to one butterfly, copy and pasted it,  then flipped it to get the mirror image.
I have coloured it using copics and added sparkle along the seams.
Fitztown Fae 18
The background is dry embossed glitter cardstock and I have added butterflies, gems, and sequins to add even more bling.
For all the details and to see the inside of this card
head over to my blog House of Borowski

So with a challenge like Anything Goes, anything goes so you have until midnight EST Sunday 6th July 2014 to get those entries in.

GD Marg: Shaped Card

Hiya peeps,
I used Halloween 13, Dracula type image and added a speech bubble to make a sentiment. I should have used a stamp but I learned after the fact (I dont suppose anyone else is like that??). I then just cut around the image very carefully and added a handmade speech bubble... I wish now though, that I had stamped the words instead of handwriting.... Coloured with a mixture of Graph It and Flexmarkers with the use of a Sakura Gelly Roll pen on his eyes, neck chain & buttons on his waistcoat.
Closer view of image:
I hope you like it!! My teenage Gothic-type daughter loves it and that's saying something as she usually just says, "That's nice! or "Cool!".
Thanks for stopping by!

GD Crafting Vicky: Shaped Card

Oh my... it's already the end.... can't believe how fast this GD spot has gone... so I'm here to share with you the last of my card and this one is for Challenge #41 for Shaped card.
OK... so that's one of my hardest one.... I'm not good with shaped cards.  The great digi that I used for this one is Le 7 from the Last Enchanters series.
The paper for this card is from my Origami paper mega pack.  I used my grand label 1, my scallop and label 1 all from Spellbinder.
Here's a closer look at the great digi colored with my copics.
What a totally cool elf right?!?  So that's my inspiration for you.  Hope you join in this week!
It's been great fun!  Hope you have liked my presence on the blog :D
See you in blog land!

GD Ivette: 4th of July Fitztown Diver

Here's another canvas I created with one of Fitztown's images.  I absolutely love the 4th of July holiday and those red, white and blues.
This piece began with a 6X5 canvas that was covered with blue tissue paper and adhered with Mod Podge and embellished.

I used black wire to take the place of all the hoses he had on him which gave it dimension.  A bead chain was cut up into small strands to represent the bubbles being released from the diver.

For more details on how this all came together, visit my blog, "Escaping Understanding".
Visit Fitztown's Challenge Blog and the Fitztown store for a variety of beautiful digi stamps created by Morgan and the wonderful works of arts by Fitztown's Design and Guest Design Teams.
Don't forget to join my blog too "Escaping Understanding" and/or leave a comment on both blogs.  I hope I splashed  you with some 4th of July inspiration!  Thank you for stopping by.
