Winner: Challenge #39 - Favorite Color

Thank you to everyone who entered our Challenge #39 - Favorite Color
*****
Please do not use one project for both open challenges. Please read the Challenge Rules if you need clarification.
As well as winner and TOP 3 being chosen for each challenge, participants who have used a Fitztown image will have the opportunity to be a guest designer (GD) for a future challenge. If you used a Fitztown image and would like to be a future GD, please send an email to stampnscrapjunkie@gmail.com. The GD will be allowed to choose a digi stamp of their choice from the store to create their guest card too! Isn't that exciting!?!
*****
Our intention is to use Random.org if we have over ten participants; otherwise, Creative Team (CT) Coordinator will chose the winner. We had 14 participants! Now on to the winner!

Now that Fitztown allows ALL digital images, the prizes have changed. You can find info about these changes here. Please email stampnscrapjunkie@gmail.com with the ONE image you chose from Fitztown within seven (7) days. You can shop for images here.  Please use Challenge #39 Winner in the subject line. Don't forget to grab your winner badge located here to display proudly on your blog's sidebar! If prize goes unclaimed, winner will be drawn again with the next challenge winner announcement.
CT Coordinator chooses a TOP 3 from ALL entries only if we have at least 10 entries. Here are the TOP 3 in NUMERICAL order:
#2 - Deonna B
#3 - Norma
#7 - Donna Mundinger
Be sure to grab your TOP 3 badge from here to display on your blog. Great job!

GD Marg: Shaped Card

Hiya peeps,
I used Halloween 13, Dracula type image and added a speech bubble to make a sentiment. I should have used a stamp but I learned after the fact (I dont suppose anyone else is like that??). I then just cut around the image very carefully and added a handmade speech bubble... I wish now though, that I had stamped the words instead of handwriting.... Coloured with a mixture of Graph It and Flexmarkers with the use of a Sakura Gelly Roll pen on his eyes, neck chain & buttons on his waistcoat.
Closer view of image:
I hope you like it!! My teenage Gothic-type daughter loves it and that's saying something as she usually just says, "That's nice! or "Cool!".
Thanks for stopping by!

GD Julie -- Shaped Cards

Hello, Fitztown fans!  Julie here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers. Today was supposed to be my last guest designing post for Fitztown, but I'm staying on for another month (yea!), so I'll have 2 more posts with them in July.  Today, I made a shaped card to fit this week's challenge theme.  I LOVE shaped cards, and I LOVE coloring flowers, so this was a particularly fun one for me!
The flower is Fitztown FL1.  I just love all the beautiful floral images in the Fitztown store, and this one is sooooo fun to color with Copic markers!
I cut the shaped card out on my Cameo Silhouette.  I found the card shape in the Silhouette Online Store.  The label behind the stamped image is cut with a Spellbinders die. The sentiment is a stamp from Close to My Heart. I finished the card off with some 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon from the new Tie Dye 2 Bundle, then added a stickpin made by my crafty friend, Randi (thanks, Dear!).
Come join in the shaped card challenge at Fitztown!

Design Day with Lynn

I created this lovely scallop circle card using the wonderful image FAE 37 which can be found here.

I had a lot of fun colouring it up and think it makes a beautiful card on the scalloped card base.

I wanted to share with you how you can create a shaped card and have it STAND on it's own without ruining the integrity of the shape.  I learned this awhile back at an online card class I took.

1. cut two of your shapes out of cardstock
2. cut one of your shapes out of patterned or coloured paper and attach to one of the white bases
3. score the remaining base about 1/2 inch from the top (in a straight line)

4. add a strong adhesive to the scored portion only

5. carefully line your card up so that it is going to stand properly on a table (i.e. don't let the image be crooked or it will not stand properly)

Now your card is done and stands with the base backing of the card with the bend in, and your front image is intact.

I hope you enjoyed this little tip and will play along with us this week in our Shaped Card challenge.

I look forward to seeing what you create.

GD Crafting Vicky: Shaped Card

Oh my... it's already the end.... can't believe how fast this GD spot has gone... so I'm here to share with you the last of my card and this one is for Challenge #41 for Shaped card.
OK... so that's one of my hardest one.... I'm not good with shaped cards.  The great digi that I used for this one is Le 7 from the Last Enchanters series.
The paper for this card is from my Origami paper mega pack.  I used my grand label 1, my scallop and label 1 all from Spellbinder.
Here's a closer look at the great digi colored with my copics.
What a totally cool elf right?!?  So that's my inspiration for you.  Hope you join in this week!
It's been great fun!  Hope you have liked my presence on the blog :D
See you in blog land!
Hugs

DT Judy - My Shape Card Inspiration

Hi Judy here with my inspirational card for the Shape Cards challenge.  I love to make cards that are different than the standard cards.  Today I used my  Sizzix According Flip die to make my card along with Fitztown's  Garden 16 butterfly images.  I used 4 of the butterflies from the collection of 6 butterflies on a page. The butterflies are beautiful.

There is still time to join in this challenge.  Just create your card and enter it here. Hop over to my blog for more detailed information about this card.   Have a creative day.

GD Jacqui Challenge 41 Shaped Card

Challenge 41 Shaped Card

Hi there everyone Jacqui here again

Today i've got a great card for you using car 10 from Fitztown.
I don't really make many cards for men so this was something different to do and I quite enjoyed it.  Even my partner said it was nice so I must've done ok lol.  Take a look and tell me what you think?

What I used

Spellbinders Grand dies
Kraft Card
Heartfelt Creations stamp
Crafters Companion free vintage elements

As this challenge was for a shaped card I simply used my spellbinders grand dies and cut out 2 in Kraft card, I scored along the top of one about an inch down and then stuck them both together at the top to make my shaped card.  And it was off to the decoration store for a manly splurge (my stash lol).
I may not have known what type of car this was but even I knew it was vintage which made it real easy to accessorise.  I found the vintage back piece, paper, sentiment and top embellishments on my computer, they were a freebie from Crafters Companion for members in their Aspire club.  The key was part of a Heartfelt Creations stamp that I stamped in black embossed in clear (makes it easier to cut) and cut out.
Then I simply assembled.  Hope you like it, till next time.

GD Ivette: 4th of July Fitztown Diver

Here's another canvas I created with one of Fitztown's images.  I absolutely love the 4th of July holiday and those red, white and blues.
This piece began with a 6X5 canvas that was covered with blue tissue paper and adhered with Mod Podge and embellished.

I used black wire to take the place of all the hoses he had on him which gave it dimension.  A bead chain was cut up into small strands to represent the bubbles being released from the diver.

For more details on how this all came together, visit my blog, "Escaping Understanding".
Visit Fitztown's Challenge Blog and the Fitztown store for a variety of beautiful digi stamps created by Morgan and the wonderful works of arts by Fitztown's Design and Guest Design Teams.
Don't forget to join my blog too "Escaping Understanding" and/or leave a comment on both blogs.  I hope I splashed  you with some 4th of July inspiration!  Thank you for stopping by.

GD Cathie - Masculine

Hi everyone, Cathie here with another card for Fitztown's Masculine Challenge.
Using  Garden 40 image I have coloured him in with alcohol markers (copic and bic markit) except for his hat and pants which I have paper pierced.
I have created a little bit of a 3D quality to my card by popping up the mushrooms he is sitting under. This is a great way to add an interesting feature to your digital image.
I've kept it pretty manly with the colours and brads I've used and made it postage friendly as well by sticking to a standard card base.
For more details head on over to my blog House of Borowski

So now it's your turn, pull out those manly papers and images and enter a card into the Masculine Challenge by midnight EST Sunday 22nd June 2014.

Have a great day everyone.
Cathie
