I came across this hot plate holder at a yard sale and just had to buy it.  I also knew exactly how I wanted to alter it.

My online name is HeatherM.  I’m a SAHM of two kids that are 6 and 10.  I started coloring with markers a little over two years ago.  I find that my 6yo daughter influences my coloring and most of my brighter color combinations were inspired by her.  I’ve also dabbled in crafts ranging from stained glass and bead making to Ukrainian Pysanky (Ukrainian eggs) to art journaling with my kids.

HI everyone, Cathie here with the new Monthly Challenge for March.
 we had some great entries for our Have a Heart challenge last month it was fantastic.

All the challenge rules for our new format are on the right or on the tab above.

So half the world this month are seeing the promise of spring and the other half like myself in Australia are looking at the slow cool down after Summer and the promise of Autumn (Fall). Of course lets not forget the celebrations this month for the patron saint of Ireland - Saint Patrick's Day.
  so with that in mind March's theme is anything goes with the Optional Twist of
 Use Some Green
This could be anywhere, on an embellishment, your card base or as an accent colour, we don't mind as long as its on there.
Of course only a Fitztown image can win you the big prize but we still love seeing all the other images out there.

I'm a mother of 2 small precious people & a part-time worker. I started scrapbooking in 2005. I moved onto digital scrapbooking when my daughter was born in 2007 (& still do!) as it was easier, quicker & both grandparents wanted scrap pages too so it was easier to do one page digitally & email it to everyone. I needed to use my paper up so I started playing at card making. I had always admired all those beautiful coloured images (Magnolia, La La Land, CC Designs etc) so I bought a few stamps & used my pencils to start with. Pencils just didn't have the wow factor I was after so I decided to pick up my first Copic in 2011 after visiting a craft fair & self taught. My sister-in-law (Cathie Borowski who is already on your DT!) introduced me to the world of online card making challenges in late 2013 when I started my blog & have not looked back!

FITZTOWN - Golden Retriever Floral

Hello Fitztown!

I'm here to share my last post with everyone.  

It's the Fitztown Golden Retriever Floral image.

I wanted to make a tag so that I can later add it onto a scrapbook layout.  The tag is in memory of one of my beloved pet dog, who was a goldern retriever.  Her name was Sydney, named after one of my favorite actors, Sydney Portier starred in the movie,

 "To Sir, With Love".

She also responded to "Loofa" don't ask, it was hubby's nickname for her.

She was a smart one, as most retrievers are, she was also epileptic.  I took great care of her.  She was special, all my dogs were special in their own way.

Here I began with a tag that I inked up using Distress Inks, Salty Ocean, Peeled Paint and I believe it was Barn Door.

I used the TH flick and spritz, may be the other way around.

used my heating tool to dry it quicker.  

Added some pink butterflies that I took apart from a garland.

The Copic Pens I used are:

E000, E00, E02, E04, E11, E13, E18, E33, E43, E50, V000, Y2, Y15, Y38, YG13, YG25, YG67, G88, B000, BO2, B05, B06, V11, FRV1

Added some white feathers to appear as white wings but I don't think they look like wings, but the idea is there when you first look at it... I hope.  ;  )  A white doggie bone and my tag is completed.
