DT-Kaija Friday!

It is Kaija's  here today, Friday, for Themselves -
We have the current challenge of Anything Goes . Is not that easy.
You can do what you want and you can make a stamp.
See how the rules have been relaxed.
My card is a beautiful Cameo 1 digital stamp Morgan Fitzsimons .
I colored with Copic Ciao as I usually do.
I used Marianne Design spaces in the background.
The bottom of the clips are really old hand-crocheted lace two layers of a semi-circle.
Mounted on the edge of a silk ribbon, and I did the same with stunning bow tie
In this way I got the old touch.
For the same background paper, cut a cute bird.
A few half-pearl and metal corner.
You are welcome to join the challenge!
Hugs Kaija's!

DT Ema

Ema here with my contribution to the current Challenge #27 - Anything Goes. Don't you just LOVE these types of challenges? You never know what's gonna pop up in your thoughts! :)
Here is my project:
You can find similar images such as this one in the Image Gallery. Did you know these images are also available? It takes a little work getting to them, but as with all the other images Fitztown offers, well worth the extra effort. :) You can send an email to sales@fitztown with a link to the image and someone will help you.
I've used Farm Fresh paper pad from Michael's Recollection line for the background. Everything else is from my long-hoarded stash I've been trying to get rid of now for three and a half years! I'm close to throwing it all out! I'd like some new stash! :) Wouldn't we all? The sentiment is one I saw somewhere and I thought it was too funny to not use. :) I added googlie eyes to the image to make the card funnier than it is without the eyes. :) lol
I hope you'll join in on the challenge! Don't forget! The challenge rules have been made more flexible so you can play along and WIN with an outside image. Winners using a non-Fitztown image will win ONE image. If you do use a Fitztown image, you can link up twice doubling your chances of winning THREE images! Link up with your post and then link up a second time with your blog. Hope to see you playing along! It's sure to be lots of fun! :)
Thanks for stopping by.

FITZTOWN CANVAS

Hello everyone, Ivette here and I'm back with another canvas mixed media project using the beautiful images of Fitztown.
I began by prepping the canvas with gesso then using Distress Ink, Aged Mahogany, some black Dreamweaver Embossing paste to create the word, Dare by using a stencil by Plaid/Folk Art. The TCW 6x6 Mini Birds of a Feather stencil was done by using Momento's Tuxedo Black ink pad.
The image was printed and colored with my Copic pens (RV09, RV34, RV69, RV81, RV91, YR61, Y02, G12, G21, E78, E95). I also used a Gelly glitter pen. She was then cut out and placed on a Making Memories picture frame that I've had for quite some time now.
The branches are from Jolees Stickers. The bird is from Paper House's 3D stickers.
I also used a TCW 6x6 Stencil Mini Chicken Wire with a Brilliance ink pad, Moonlight White. I delicately placed burgundy rhinestones by Recollections on the center of most of the flowers. I also added a small green pearl on the bird as an eye.
Hope you enjoy my project and by all means, if you have any questions I will gladly answer.
Thanks again and hop on over to my blog, Escaping Understanding if you haven't been there already.
Thanks again!
Ivette

GD Lynn: Spring Colours

It's Lynn (aka Lynnpenguin) here. I'm sooooo excited to be a Guest Designer here at Fitztown. This is my very first Guest Design Team post and I'm very happy to be a part of this great team of talented designers. I created this cheery/spring card to help warm me up during this awfully cold winter we've been having in Southern Ontario CANADA. Yikes! What a winter it's been.
I hope this bright and cheery card helps you to think about Spring and all the beautiful flowers and warmth to come! For my card I used this lovely flower FL1 and coloured it with my copics using yellow/oranges as my flower colour and added a nice green to the stem. I added a bit of brown dirt on the bottom and decided to use some great orange/white polka dot paper from my stash. I also found some lovely green cardstock to create a strip under the image. I used a scallop punch to give it a bit of shape and some plain white satin ribbon from my stash. I think this image is a wonderful versatile image that could be used for many occasions, not just Thank You that I've used. I can see it as a great Mother's Day card, Happy Birthday, Get Well, Thinking of You and even a "just because" kind of card. I hope you've enjoyed playing along with us this week on our "Spring Colours" Challenge.

Spring Colors - DT Judy

This is my spring colored card that I created for the challenge this week. I love the colors of spring colors. I used the beautiful image by Fitztown which I coloured with Copic Markers.
I made my flowers from some die cuts and wet the flowers with water and crinkled with them to give them some shape and texture. Some face die cuts were added to the frame, bling along with a sentiment. The background was made with some bling fabric from from the dollar store.
Thank you for stopping by. Come join us the challenge this week. There is still time, just create your card and enter it here
Don't forget! The challenge rules have been made more flexible so you can play along and WIN with an outside image. Winners using a non-Fitztown image will win ONE image. GD TRACEY

Hi Tracey here!!
So this challenge is all about SPRING COLOURS
and this is my card for it.
Just love this image:
This is a very delicate image this the roses & vine in the corner, gives you a lot of room to add a sentiment in the middle.

So this image is called  VALENTINE 2 & you can get it from the store here.

So how did I made this card? Well, I create the pale lemon background use my CAP2 to give it some colour, then using my Copic in greens, browns & pinks to colours the roses in. Have decoupage the bottom up & added crystal glitter to make them pop!! Matted this on to a pink card stock. Added all this to an 8 by 8 white card. The extras are some pink paper roses which I made, pink candi & the bright pink ribbon.

DT Ema

Ema here with my contribution to this week's Challenge #25 - Farm Animal. I've used one of the images from the Garden Collection, Garden #48. I had a little mishap when I was laying the image down. Haha! I guess I shouldn't be having wine while crafting! ;)
Here is my card:
I used a paper pad from Michael's called Farm Fresh. The sentiment is from Create with TLC. I stamped the sunflower from a Michael's $1 stamp bin, colored it with Copic markers and then dabbed the center with some brown Liquid Applique. I tied it all together with some brown cording. There's lots more detail on by personal blog if you are interested.

Be sure to link up your project! We'd love to see what kind of farm animal you would make a card with. Don't forget! We've updated our challenge rules! You can use any image to participate in the challenge and WIN! Winners using a non-Fitztown image receive one digi. Winners using a Fitztown image receive three digis. Isn't that great!?!

Thanks for stopping by!

GD Deni

Hello and welcome to another wet and miserable day in Sydney Australia. We are loving it :-) it's been very dry and muggy here so we have definitely needed all this rain :-) our grass is beginning to look green again.
Tonight I have created a Mother's Day card using one of the gorgeous images from the Valentine's Collection - Valentine 12.
I absolutely love this image as it is perfect for lots of occasions and not just Valentine's.

I have coloured the image using Copic Markers purchased from Craft-a-Lot here in Australia.

Copic Markers Used
R81, R83, R85, R89
G05, G16, G28
The sentiment is from a stamp set from Kaisercraft called Occasions CS916. I have stamped it using Verafine Onyx Black (I find this the best ink for fine sentiments).
Cardstocks are from Kaisercraft
Lace and twine are from my stash.
My apologies in not being around much lately, my son has been ill so we've been in and out of hospital :-(
Hope you like my card and thanks for stopping by.

Guest Designers for March / April 2014

Ema here announcing our Guest Designers for March and April 2014. I'm very excited to have these two talented ladies join our team! I'm sure you will be inspired by what they bring to life with some of Fitztown's fabulous images! We have Tracey Mowbray and Lynn Haines with us. Here they are to tell you a little about themselves.
My name is Tracey Mowbray. I live in Oxfordshire, England with my lovely
hubby & 2 boys who are my world (except crafting).
I've been making cards for 10 years and I also got into scrapbooking in a
big way, so crafting has taken over my life especially as both my boys are at
school.
I have a dream job of being a Craft Demonstrator for Debbi Moore Designs which see me going around the south of England meeting some lovely crafters.
Lynn
I am a crafty person who dabbled in many crafts over the years. My current passion is card-making and scrapbooking.  I found digital images and blogging in 2013 and haven't looked back. I love being a part of a couple of wonderful design teams, and love to participate in weekly card-making challenges. I'm known as Lynnpenguin in blog-land because I LOVE penguins and have a collection that numbers over 3,000 penguins and even had one beaded and sequined on my wedding dress.

Please help me welcome these two talented crafters! We hope to see you playing along with our current challenges. Thanks for stopping by!

GD Ivette - Challenge #24 Stitching - ANAKIN

Hello again!  Ivette here with you to share my challenge #24 piece.
I purposely used image #6 from the store because this past Monday, Feb. 17th, I lost one of my best friends.  A black Lab named Anakin.  He would have been 15 y.o. on April 7th.  I dedicate this project in his memory.  He left behind a Maltese, Chase and a white Shepherd, Leia.  He is sorely missed and my heart is broken...
I began with a gessoed 10x8 canvas, used my Distress Ink, Broken China for the background, sealed it with Mod Podge.  I used my Copic pens, gray tones and a Copic Multiliner.

I used vellum paper to cut out his wings with Tim Holtz's Layered Angel Wings die.  A halo created with thin gold wire.
Jolee's white doves added to the sides of his name which is from TH's Newsprint Alphas.

I used ribbon with paw prints and stitched it down along the bottom of the frame using burgundy thread. A cloud with plastic doves I had laying around.  A tennis ball by his foot is from Jolee's Stickers. I finished the canvas by adding TH's Corners which I colored black with my Copic pen.

Hope you play along with us on Fitztown's current challenge.

In Memory of my beloved Friend, Anakin...
May the force be with you...
