It is Kaija  here today. I used this great Fae 7 Morgan Fitzsimons digital stamp
 for the current challenge with feminine theme to make my card.
Oh my, I love how this came out!
Yes the little things make up the feminine end result :)
We all know that I am coloring Copic Ciao markers.

GD Crafting Vicky: Challenge No. 35 - Feminine

Hello everyone!  It's my very 1st GD post for Fitztown!  I'm totally excited!  I did a card for the Feminine challenge # 35 and for this card I used the great FL3.
The paper that I used is all sparkly!  It's from Desert Blooms by First Edition.  I used some ribbon from my stash.  I used my Gold Ivy, scallop and large circle from Spellbinder.  I didn't do much to this card because I really wanted the paper to show since it was so delicate and pretty!
Here's a closer look at the fabulous digi that I colored with my copics.
I really hope that I have inspired you to play at the feminine challenge!

TUESDAY WITH TRACEY- NO 35 FEMININE

Good morning

This is my first post has a Designer team member.

The theme this week is

FEMININE

On to my card

So using my favourite colours, this is the lovely fae 37 by Morgan Fitzsimon. Have coloured her with tones of purples with a touch of blue & green. Have added crystal glitter to her. Cut her out in a circle shape & layered on to a purple dolly. All this has been matted on to the lilac base which I have emboss. And the card base is a purple, also around the edges. The extras are some flower I have made in the same purple, small stamped sentiment,gems & the 2 satin bows.

Thanks for looking

GD Day with Lynn - Shabby Chic

Well I must say this week was a challenge creating a SHABBY CHIC project.

I think of shabby chic as a mix of new and old with a sort of rustic feel, so I chose this image CAR 3 as it's an old/vintage vehicle that I thought I could make look shabby and chic.

I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I coloured the truck with COPICS using blues and grey and found some great distressed looking papers in my stash.  Isn't it great when you find you have something that works perfectly with your plan?

I used a distress tool from Close to My Heart that I bought several years ago, and honestly, I've hardly used it, but I made it feel useful creating this card.  I used it around the mat of the image and also around the distressed grey patterned paper on the card.

I used some good ol' fashioned string from around the house to add some texture to the card, and frayed it after I tied the knot.

It turned out to be a fun project after all, and I'm pleased to be able to add another Masculine Birthday card to my collection...after all, who can't use more Masculine cards, right?? !!

I do hope you'll take the challenge and create something in the SHABBY CHIC Style for a chance to win here at Fitztown.  I look forward to seeing what you create !!

DT Judy - Shabby Chic Challenge

This is the shabby chic card I made for this week's challenge, hope it inspires you to join in the challenge. I used this elegant vintage Fitztown images by Morgan Fitzsimons that I paper pieced her dress and distressed the pattern papers I layered her on.

To carry on the shabby chic theme I then added a bow made out of some old gold seam binding and old lace in black and gold that I found in our local thrift store. To complete the card I added a fancy die cut by Spellbinders Heartfelt Creations called Ornate Gateway and some bling.

Please, visit the Fitztown store to check out the gorgeous images and other stuff. If you want to buy a image and cannot find it in the shop, please send an email to this address: sales@fitztown.com with a link to the image (posting) you want to have. They are still stocking the store and there are still some images that are not there yet.

Now it is your turn to make your shabby chic card, there still lots of time left to join in on this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

May / June Guest Designer - Marg

Please help the Design Team and me welcome one of our May / June Guest Designers for Fitztown. This is Marg and this is what she'd like you to know about her:
Hiya, my name is Margaret (but I do prefer to be called Marg or Mags).

I am a 52 year old disabled single parent to a 16 year old daughter, unable to work due to quite serious disabilities in my spine and various other ailments, called Charcot-Marie-Tooth or Hereditary Motor and Sensory Neuropathy, and I have type 1A of many. It is a lesser known form of Muscular Dystrophy which is an inherited progressive genetic disease but is not life threatening. I, therefore, craft to keep my mind and hands creative. I have always been creative anyway, but I know I just can not sit and watch television or be on the laptop all day, every day. Equally, I am unable to work due to immense pain. Crafting is my therapy, my life.

My creative streak has always been with me, (drawing, sewing, cross stitch) but only the last 5+ years have I been creating cards good enough to sell. I have got a lot more creative and better over the years.... Creating a paper craft project now, I am very lucky that I can pick up a piece of scrap craft material and put a card together using that one piece., equally though, I can follow a sketch and/or theme to the letter or diversify when needed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I hope you will pop on over to Marg's blog and give her a warm Fitztown welcome!
Be sure to check out our current Challenge #34 - Shabby Chic! It's one of my personal favorites. You still have time to play along with Challenge #33 - Lots of Layers, as well. Thank you for stopping by!
May / June GD: Julie Odil
Please help us welcome Julie Odil. She has graciously accepted to be a Guest Designer for Fitztown! We hope she'll like her visit with Fitztown and we are very excited to have her. This is what she'd like you to know:
Hello everyone, my name is Julie, and I’m so excited to be a guest designer for Fitztown! I absolutely love stamps and Fitztown has such fun digital images to color! I’m so thrilled to have the opportunity to work and play with them!
I’ve always been creative – I play many instruments, like to write, and have been crafty my whole life. I began scrapbooking about 8 years ago and cardmaking about 4 years ago, but things really took off when I began my blog just over 2 years ago. It was a life changing experience. I can’t believe how much fun I’ve had and how many friends I’ve made through my blog. I’d love it if you’d stop by for a visit here
The image that I used on this card (Garden 19), was so much fun to color with my Copic markers.
The current challenge at Fitztown is "Lots of Layers", so that's what I did. I used layers of paper, layered on the ribbon, added a 2-layered butterfly, then added a layer of pearls to that, just for more layers! For more details, or to see what else I’ve been busy creating, please visit my blog here
Thanks to Ema and the Fitztown team for the warm welcome and this wonderful opportunity.
GD CaroleAnn
Please welcome our Guest Designer for today. This is CaroleAnn and this is what she has to say:
Hi, there! My name is CaroleAnn. I was born in England and I think with crayons in my hand! I live in New York state now. I started making cards when I was 9 years old. But as an adult, I rediscovered my passion of cardmaking when I took a Stampin' Up class. Then came Copic Markers!!! Love, love my markers! I am now reliving my childhood in a frenzy type of addiction. Just love the new world of digital images with my faves to color being fairies and large eyed girlies with flowing hair! My family is very supportive of all the papers, glitter, and embellishments that find their way into our home. I am a wife, mother and grandmother working full time and playing at every turn of opportunity!
I had so much fun creating this card for Fitztown. I love all the Fae Collection so it was so easy peasy for me to accept the invite to be a Guest Designer for this challenge! I chose Fae 8 and she was colored up with my Copic markers and since the challenge is all about "Lots of Layers" I used lots of papers and little embellishments here and there. Thanks again to Ema for giving me this great opportunity! For more details on the card you can visit my blog here.
DT-Kaija: No. 33 Lots of Layers!
Hello everyone! Kaija here with my turn to inspire you for the current challenge Lots of Layers.
This magnificent image that I am calling Finger on lips :) is a Fae digital stamp by Morgan Fitzsimons.
You may not find this in the store but if you send a picture link to sales@fitztown.com, someone will help you out with your query.
My coloring is with, as usual, Copic Ciao and glitter.
I love the lace. I also used the Fiskars trimmer and some pearl halves to give it its own touch.
Welcome, Hugs, Kaija!
May / June 2014 GD Vicky
VICKY FORTIER
I'm an accountant working full time and a mother of 4 great kids. I have an amazing husband who understands that in order to keep my sanity through all this I need to craft. ;) I live in Quebec, Canada so a lot of my crafting is done with French sayings.
I have been crafting over 21 years and tried my hands at all kinds of techniques over the years. I started blogging in March of 2012 in order to join challenges. I became totally hooked!!!! I can't believe this world existed and I only found out about it then. I see blogging as a wonderful opportunity to improve my card making abilities.
I have realized that through the web I get to meet amazing people from all over the world and learn from them.
Sande here, with my Wednesday DT posting for our current challenge
This lovely image I used on my card is one of the Valentine images and you can find it with the name "Valentine1". I was run out of yellows so I used red then. I have colored the image with my Copics as I always do. The roses are layered right? and I used papers and doilies to layer more. I just adore this designer paper so I didn't wanna hide that completely. All the supplies are from my stash. Please, visit at Fitztown store to check the gorgeous images and other stuff. May / June 2014 GD Diane Ahlers
Please help the Fitztown Design Team welcome Diane Ahlers! Diane will be a Guest Designer with Fitztown Challenge Blog for the next two months. We are very excited to have her with the team! Here is what she has to say:
Hi, my name is Diane.  I live in sunny Arizona.  I work as a Special Education Secretary in an elementary school.  This is my twentieth year.  Three more years and I can retire.  I am really looking forward to that.  I have been married to my best friend for thirty eight years. We are the proud parents of two daughters and a son and have an eighteen month old grandson who is the light of our lives.
I started making cards about four years ago, Once I got my Copic markers, card making became a passion.  My favorite type of card to make is one with animals. I work primarily with digital images.  I make such a mess with stamps.  I always end up with ink all over the place. I recently came back from a year off card-making.  My husband had gotten seriously ill and I had to take care of him.  Fortunately, he is back to normal now. I am so excited to get back to crafting again.  The thought was a bit intimidating, I had forgotten so much.  I think I'm finally back in the swing of things.  My husband recently agreed to turn our living room into a craftroom and built me a very large desk with lots of storage.  I am in craft heaven.  I am really looking forward to being part of this design team.  Fun times ahead!
This is my first Guest DT project for Fitztown.  This week’s challenge is Lots of Layers.  I used this adorable image CS10 available here.  What a joy it was coloring this.  I enjoyed every minute of it.  This scene reminds me of a quaint little neighborhood so I figured it would be an ideal card to welcome a new neighbor  The paper and ribbon are  from my stash.
Please come along and join us this week.  We’d love to see your creations!
Feel free to drop by my blog to see a little more detail about this creation.
