Sketch To Play With

Welcome to all our new followers and hello to all of those already following us.

Tonight I am posting a sketch for you to play with. There will not be any prizes for this, it is to give you something to work on while we are getting the blog up and running again.

We (the DT and Administrators) all thank you for baring with us during this time and apologize for not being able to foresee this but we are all in fix it mode to get it sorted as soon as possible :-)

This sketch is a simple one, there is no rules or a recipe (something I am only just learning about).

Hi everyone

I wanted to share my wee tag I made while having a play with some fabulous images on the  Stardust and Pumkin cd which you can find here

My wonderful main image is coloured with promarkers and distress markers, my backing paper is prima and my die cut is memory box.

Being the mum of a toddler approaching the terrible twos this face and posture were very familiar to me and I couldn't wait to get her coloured in!

Morgan Fitzsimons' Cameo 8 in Two Different Cards by Katherine from the DT

     I used images from Morgan Fitzsimons’ new craft CD.  If you haven’t checked them out, you should.  What a deal they are.  You get 100s of images for one price.  You can print out the size you want and they are precolored.  You can purchase it from Fitztown.
     I used the image Cameo 8 to design the following two cards.  This one is an A2 card.  I have been scrapbooking for ten years and have accumulated quite the stash of scraps.  This year, I am proud to say that I am working my way through that pile so I can’t tell you a lot of the brand names for my paper choices.  The sentiment I used on the purple vellum of this first card is a stamp from Hampton Art.  Of course when my husband and son saw it, they thought of Duck Dynasty, but I have had the stamp for longer then that show has been on!  The silver lines are Starform Silver Outline Stickers but the DT members in other countries call them flexies.  They are one of my favorite items to use.  The bling are from Stampendous and are called Dot Sparklers and you can get them in different colors so i also use these a lot.

 The second card is 5 X 7 using the same cameo.  I offset the matted image and cropped the corners.  I do this sometimes when I am scrapbooking too so I can get more pics on a page.  The flower in the upper left corner is from a layered accents kit from K & Company by Susan Winget called Botanical Flowers.  I fell in love with the embellishment in the bottom right corner, it’s sparkly and says “You are the One”.  I thought it went perfect with the cameo image.

This is just one of Morgan's cameos.  I think they are so gorgeous and rich looking and I love all the details.  Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

I am so excited to be designing for Fitztown. I am thrilled to be working with fabulous images from Morgan Fitzsimons, Karen Sheltrown and Mariana Cagnin! 

Here is my first project for Fitztown:

This is Ballerina 2 by Morgan Fitzsimon at Scrapbook Stamp Society. I've used card stock and ribbon from my stash. The lace border punch is from Michael's. I made the flowers with a petite daisy punch from Michael's as well using a petite snowflake punch to add the appearance of leaves peeking out from behind the flowers. I dabbed Stickles on the ballerina's dress because I imagine all ballerinas should shimmer! :) I also dabbed Stickles on the homemade flowers to make them prettier. Stickles makes everything prettier! :) I added rhinestones from my stash to the centers of the flowers. The card is a 4.25X5.5 portrait single fold card. I colored the image with Copic Markers.

DT Deni - Mother's Day Card

Well I am going to say it again! I am so happy to be on the DT for Fitztown, I put a request on for help with a Mother's Day Card for my Mum.. I have gone through all my images and just couldn't find that "perfect my Mum image". And ofcourse Paul was lovely enough to find one for me and it was perfect :-)

This image is an image by Elissa Soares - it has not yet been released so I am feeling very special :-) and so will my Mum lol.

I loved this image the way it was in coloured form, I just added a little Kindyglitz and a little Twinkling Like Stars Clear Spica Pen on a few little spots to bring the image out.

I absolutely love this card! It is perfect for My Mum as she is a flower lover :-)

Sentiment is handwritten just to make a little extra special

Cardstock is just a basic cardstock from Kmart.

 I have been busy colouring up an image from the Comic The Last Enchanter. I absolutely adore this image and was really looking forward to finding time to colour him up.

Not sure card wise what I am going to do with it yet as it will need to be a boy card. I don't do alot of boy cards so it may take some time...
