GD Cathie - Masculine

Hi everyone, Cathie here with another card for Fitztown's Masculine Challenge.
Using  Garden 40 image I have coloured him in with alcohol markers (copic and bic markit) except for his hat and pants which I have paper pierced.
I have created a little bit of a 3D quality to my card by popping up the mushrooms he is sitting under. This is a great way to add an interesting feature to your digital image.
I've kept it pretty manly with the colours and brads I've used and made it postage friendly as well by sticking to a standard card base.
For more details head on over to my blog House of Borowski

So now it's your turn, pull out those manly papers and images and enter a card into the Masculine Challenge by midnight EST Sunday 22nd June 2014.

Have a great day everyone.
Cathie

GD Crafting Vicky: Favorite color

Wow time sure is flying by!!  It's time for me to share with you a card that I did for the favorite color challenge #39.
I have to admit, my favorite colors are yellow and green so I used a bit of both for this great card with the fabulous image Garden 6.  I also have another confession... I totally love chickens and hens!
The paper is from Simple stories - Take a hike. Totally love this paper!!!  I used as well some paper from GCD Studios - Nostalgia.  I used my label 12 and large square from Spellbinder.  I added some bling from Recollection.
Here's a closer look at the fabulous digi that I colored with my copics.
I really hope that you will be playing along the favorite color challenge!

GD Amy - Favorite Color

Please help the DT welcome Fitztown's June / July Guest Designer, Amy. This is what she'd like you to know about her and her first project:
Hi my name is Amy and I'm super excited to be a GDT Member for Fitztown & working with these amazing designs and Design Team! I live in beautiful Victoria, B.C. Canada, with my family and dog, Bubbaganoush (Yep, he's as cute as his name suggests! Lol ).

I have been crafting for several years, but it wasn't until May 2013 that I discovered the wonderful world of craft challenges and blogging. I've learned so much and made so many amazing friends along the way! I love all things crafty: Stamping, Paper crafts, Die cuts, embellishments...Oh the list goes on and on. I look forward to getting Crafty with you!

For my first challenge ~FAVORITE COLORS~ I used FL 5 .

I love the yellow and green tones together. I layered different CS and DP's together for different tones and textures. Paper-pierced the edges of the white layer and faux sewed it with a Spica Pen. Finished it off with a Fabric flower and pins in one corner and butterfly in the other. Visit my blog too for more details on this card or just to see what else I've been up to.

Thanks to the Fitztown team for this wonderful opportunity.

Happy Craftin'!
Amy

GD Jacqui - Favourite Colour

Hi there everyone, it's Jacqui Robinson back for another GDT post for June and July with the amazing Fitztown images. I'm so pleased to be asked to participate again at Fitztown as I love the images and they are so easy to use and colour and there's something for everyone which I hope I show you in the next 2 months.

So on to the Challenge!

This challenge is with your favourite colour which makes it so easy to participate in. I've used the image Cameo 10 from Fitztown and my favourite colour is...........Purple (bet you'd never have guessed lol).
I kinda went to town with my imagination for this one and I teamed it with some Katy Sue stuff that it simply seemed to be crying out for! So I just imagined her dreaming of her big day and the dress and shoes etc and they're purple I know but she doesn't look the conventional white dress type to me. In fact she reminds me of my daughter who won't be caught dead in a white dress lol (she's already informed me). So of course if she was dreaming of a wedding she needed ribbon and glitter and pearls the whole hog lol.

So here's what I used (quite a lot I know)!
8x8 card base
C&C pastel green mirror board
Crafters Companion embossalicous dots
White Card and a mask
Creative Expressions glitter gel
Green & Purple ribbon from my stash
Tonic corner die
EK success circle cutter
Half pearls from my stash
Spellbinder circle die
Flowers twig glittery stems from my stash
Katy Sue designs images from Fashion & shoes cd's

So hope you're joining in with us and I can't wait to see what you make and if you like please let me know i'd love to hear from you.

Till next time cya l8r
Jacqui
You'll find the step by step on my blog if you want all the details.

GD Cathie - Googly Eyes

Hi Everyone,

Cathie here with my first Guest Designer Post for Fitztown -

I live in Adelaide in Australia with my husband of 8 years and two munchkins 6 and 3. I work three days a week and I am currently trying to finish my Diploma in HR. I have a lot of interests that I like to fill my time with, which as you can imagine doesn't happen very often with digital scrapbooking, chocolate making, sewing and card making. Of course my card making is currently taking the top spot with my new obsession with blog land and so here we are.

Believe me when I say that I don't think I can convey how excited I am at this moment so I think it may be safer to go straight on to my card.

I thought it was a great idea to turn Fitztown's Cutie 6 image  into a lovely pink stuffed toy for a baby card for my cousin who is expecting a little girl, and, to make it a little bit more special, I have created a circle easel card.
I have used Copics to colour the image and then raided my Kaisercraft Lullaby paper pack for the papers and embellishments. I have used quite a few different circle dies in the construction of this card and as such you can find a full list of supplies and a tutorial link on my blog House of Borowski.

Hopefully this has inspired you to link up your entry for the Googly Eye Challenge. You have until Sunday, June 15th, midnight EST USA.

Talk to you next time.

June/July GD - Cathie

Please help the Fitztown Design Team welcome our newest Guest Designer. Cathie is new to blogging and her enthusiasm is contagious! Here's a little something she'd like you to know about her:
Hi, my name is Cathie. My mum is incredibly crafty and artsy and, as a child, she taught me how to sew, knit and crochet. This led on to long stitches. Unfortunately, this also led to a lot of unfinished projects due to a short attention span, which I still have to this day.
I can still remember like it was yesterday, the fateful day my mother-in-law took me to my first Quilt and Craft Fair where I saw a demonstration of stamping with pigment inks and varied embossing powders. I knew I was hooked!
It was the first step: basic Christmas cards and birthday cards incorporating pre-made sticker embellishments and computer clip art. It wasn't until I had complications after having my son in 2011 that I discovered the world of YouTube and Blog land, mainly other peoples blogs with the exchange of ideas, techniques and card designs. The options were endless! To my husband's dismay, this was when the addiction really started. This also led to my love of digital stamps. The fact I could buy a stamp and receive it instantly (living in Australia does have its disadvantages), I could accumulate more stamps as they are cheaper and I can make them bigger or smaller depending on my finished card giving me the ultimate in creativity.
I had been entering various online competitions but shying away from any that required a blog. It wasn't until my sister in law started a blog and encouraged me to get my card designs out there that I was bitten by the bug. I am so glad I did as I find it completely addictive - the ability to do the equivalent of standing on the roof tops yelling at the top of my voice - "I am sooo happy with this card!" is such a great feeling!

GD Meggi

Please help Fitztown welcome Meggi as a featured Guest Designer! We're so excited to have her join the team. This is what she'd like you to know about her:
My name is Margret Bischoff, called Meggi. I am 60 years and live with my family in Bavaria, in a small medieval town. Indeed, I am in the Rhenish capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, Düsseldorf born.
Creativity was laid to me to say in such a way, in the cradle, because in our family jder in his kind an artist or musician. Already, from childhood materials (evidence) were like material (substance), wool, paper and everything what one can cut not certainly. Earlier these were the kniting and crocheting. For many years I have made formed cards, first "only 3D", then also crafting cards and scrapbooking. Before several years I have also discovered stamps for myself. With it I can give to my creations even more individuality.
Since some time I belong to the Design Teams for It's All About the Vintage and Beauty and also The Stamping Boutique. I occasionally am a guest designer on different challenge blogs, as well.
Thank you,

GD Marg - Celebration

This is my project for the Celebration themed challenge we've got going on right now. Please pop on over to my blog for all the details.

Hello everyone hope your week is going well!!  It's time for me to share with you a card that I did for the Celebration challenge # 37. The Design Team is also hosting a blog hop so be sure to pop on over here and check out all the prizes and inspiration from the team!
Don't know about you but I always have trouble doing some masculine cards! This was the perfect opportunity to do one because I got to play with Car 10.
The paper for this creation is from Awesome - Simple stories.  I used my nesting frame 10 from Quickutz.  I added some silver Robin's nest drew drops.  I also added a little gear from my stash.  I thought it was the perfect embellishment for a masculine card!
Here's a closer look at the fabulous digi that I colored with my Prismacolor pencils and some solvant. I put some black soot distress ink all around the image as well.
I really hope that I have inspired you to play at the Celebration challenge there are sooo many fabulous digis to play with!! Don't forget! This challenge is also a blog hop and there are lots of prizes to be won! Be sure to go check it out here!

June / July Guest Designer - Hazel

Hi bloggers! Please help the Fitztown Design Team welcome Hazel as a Guest Designer for Fitztown. We're very excited to have her join us! This is what she'd like to share with you today:
My name is Hazel and I’m retired.  I’ve crafted all my life.

I was born in the 1940s and so almost everything in the home was handmade. I can remember making ‘proggy mats’ with my mother when I was just seven or eight. I don’t suppose many blogging friends will know what one of those is, apart from maybe those bloggers in the NE of England. When I was about twelve I helped my mother make spare covers for the sofa and armchairs and this was all by hand as we couldn’t afford a sewing machine in those days. It was hard work but I loved it.  I went on to make soft toys, rag dolls, dried flower pictures and wooden mobiles for children’s bedrooms. I crocheted, knitted and sewed many clothes for myself and family but have had to give that up with the onset of this current eye problem. I have always made cards and scrapbooks, on and off, throughout the years. About twelve years ago I was looking after a ten year old girl and she was ‘bored’ so I started her on some greetings cards. She loved making them and took them into school to show her friends and teacher. The teacher asked her to make some for her and she would pay her! Of course, she was straight here to use my stash and she sold about ten to her teacher. She was so buoyed up with the whole thing that it inspired me all over again and I did not stop making them.

My husband died almost two years ago after being ill for only four weeks and I thought I would never get over it. We had been married almost 48 years and were never apart. My blogging friends have been very supportive throughout this time and have continued to follow my blog even though the posts were a little thin on the ground. I did keep up with my DT commitments and in the past few weeks I have felt able to spend more time crafting. My husband had always been very involved with my hobby and that’s what I miss too. I know he’s right there behind me saying “go on, Hazel, I know you can do it”.  Thank you for giving me this opportunity to be a member of a fantastic and well organized  design team.

Precious story! I teared up a bit! I hope we can make her feel welcomed into our little community. Please give her a warm welcome.
